CONTACT US & ABOUT US

We are a completely volunteer-based organization. We are committed to making this world a better place, driven by the vision that one day we can achieve peace for humanity and for this planet.
We know this is an audacious goal, but we are motivated and inspired by the goal of  creating a critical mass of practical idealists, of dreamers who get things done. After all, what would this world be without dreamers?
We believe that this world needs more of these dreamers and more people with big visions. For they will truly make this world a more peaceful place.
Since we are a completely volunteer-based organization, not one of our core team or staff members receives any salary or monetary compensation for what they do. This includes our founders and our chairman.
We direct any donation we receive directly to the cause or project it is meant for after a small percentage is used to cover overhead expenses. That´s it.
World Peace is challenging enough, let´s keep our organization simple.

ABOUT US

World Peace foundation e.V. (not for profit) is a non-profit, non-partisan, non-religious, non-political international acting organization with the aim to systematically initiate and foster processes for worldwide peace building. With support of our global network of partners we have been working with from the start – ranging from the United Nations Office for Partnerships, the UNDPI and the UNDP to NGOs around the world and corporate partners like Virgin Unite or Google – the World Peace foundation combines its own unique and holistic peace-building strategy with global initiatives and the long-standing practical knowledge of renowned peace building experts. The goal of the World Peace foundation is to create global movements that will serve to inspire systemic policy changes for peace and help to prevent and reduce conflicts between people, countries and creeds.

Based on a vision and starting a network from scratch, our founder Tom Oliver created the World Peace Foundation and World Peace Festival, supported by business leaders like Richard Branson and termed “the most influential peace gathering in history” by Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Desmond Tutu. The Dalai Lama has called the World Peace Foundation “a global community of millions of people who take an active stance for peace”.

PEACE STARTS WITH ME

We believe that peace starts with the individual. The mission of the World Peace Foundation is to inspire and empower people around the world to be more at peace with themselves, others and the environment. We are creating a global community that is actively working towards peace. One by one and together, we can all make a difference.

We believe that peace building has to be holistic. This is why we combine educational publications, educational initiatives, ongoing educational outreach programs, worldwide initiatives and programs with our partners and global events to have a holistic and systemic impact to reach a critical mass of individual around the globe that will serve as an army of peacemakers.
